Stop Delivering the Same Session Every Quarter
Virtual instructor-led training solved the geography problem. It did not solve the scale problem. Every new cohort means another live session, another timezone, another trainer, and another set of results that depend on who happened to be delivering that day.
eLearning Solutions Lab builds the self-paced side of your VILT programme. Send us the session recordings, the classroom deck, the facilitator notes, or the SOPs behind them – and we return a finished, SCORM-ready course that teaches the same content without anyone having to run it again. Full ILT to eLearning conversion, legacy content conversion, and blended learning design, delivered end to end.

What Are VILT Solutions?
Virtual instructor-led training (VILT) is live training delivered by a facilitator to remote learners in real time, usually over Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or Adobe Connect. VILT solutions is the term buyers use for the things that make that training work – and it covers three very different purchases.
The first is the platform: the virtual classroom itself, which most organisations already own. The second is live facilitation: the trainer who stands up and delivers. The third is the content – the instructional design, learning assets, and assessments that carry the actual teaching.
eLearning Solutions Lab works on the content side, and specifically on converting live sessions into self-paced digital courses. We are a custom eLearning development company: we take what your VILT programme already teaches and rebuild it as a course that runs on demand, tracks in your LMS, and delivers the same experience to every learner in every region.
When L&D Teams Move Beyond Live-Only VILT
Most teams do not start here. They convert after running into a familiar set of problems:
• The same session is being redelivered every quarter to new cohorts
• Global teams cannot attend at a workable hour
• Results vary depending on which trainer delivered
• Facilitator time is the bottleneck on every rollout
• Session recordings are sitting in a folder that nobody rewatches
• Attendance is the only data your LMS can report
If two or more of these sound familiar, conversion is usually the right call.
Your Classroom Course Became a Zoom Call. It Did Not Become VILT.
Moving instructor-led training online is a redesign, not a scheduling change. Most teams skip that part - same deck, same six-hour agenda, new camera - and the content is what breaks first.
Six Hours of Slides, One Webcam
The classroom agenda came across intact. Attention is gone by the second hour and the rest of the session is a formality.
Nothing for Learners to Do
Content built for a room assumes the room does the work. On screen, with no designed activity, the session collapses into a broadcast.
Every Run Is a Different Course
No structured design, no consistent sequence. Two trainers deliver the same title and learners get two different experiences.
Nothing to Measure
No knowledge checks, no assessment strategy, no objectives to score against. Attendance gets logged, and that is the whole dataset.
We Turn Your Live Sessions Into Courses That Work Without a Facilitator
We are an end-to-end eLearning production partner. You send the source material from your live sessions - we return a finished course.
Send What You Have
Classroom decks, VILT recordings, PDFs, SOPs, webinar files - or just a topic. Same intake as everything else we build, and no polished script required.
We Build the Course, End to End
Instructional design, interactions, scenarios, voiceover, knowledge checks, and accessibility QA - all delivered inside a finished SCORM package.
Designed to Teach Without You in the Room
A live session leans on the facilitator to carry it. Self-paced content cannot. We rebuild the material so it works when nobody is there to explain the slide.
Every Learner Gets the Same Session
No timezone juggling, no repeat deliveries, no drift between trainers. Build once and run it for every cohort that follows.
Measurement Designed In
Assessments mapped to objectives at the design stage and reported through SCORM or xAPI - scores and completion instead of an attendance list.
Fixed Price. 5 to 7 Weeks. Source Files Included.
The same promise as every build we ship. You own the source files, so a policy change means an edit rather than a rebuild.
Some Training Should Stay Live. Most of What You Run Live Should Not.
Live delivery is expensive, hard to scale, and inconsistent between trainers - and a large share of what teams run live does not need a human in the room at all. Here is the split we use during discovery.
| Keep It Live (VILT) | Convert to Self-Paced | Blend the Two | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Coaching, negotiation practice, difficult conversations, anything needing real-time feedback on a live performance | Knowledge transfer – policy, compliance, product, systems, onboarding, and process training | Programmes with both – knowledge up front, practice live |
| Why | The value is a human reacting to the learner in the moment | If the facilitator is reading content aloud, that is a course, not a session | Frees live time for the part that actually needs it |
| Cost shape | Repeats for every cohort, every timezone | Built once, runs forever – one fixed build cost | Live delivery hours drop sharply |
| Consistency | Varies by trainer and by day | Identical for every learner, in every region | Controlled where it matters most |
| Measurement | Attendance, and whatever the facilitator observes | Scored assessments, completion, and xAPI interaction data | Knowledge measured digitally, application observed live |
| What it cannot do | Scale cheaply across regions and cohorts | Replace real-time coaching or live skills practice | Work at all unless the split is designed rather than guessed |
Everything Included. At Every Tier.
Everything below is included at every tier. What changes between Rapid, Professional, and Enterprise is depth of interaction and design - not whether you get source files, accessibility, or a course that works in your LMS.
A SCORM-Ready Course
SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, or xAPI with cmi5 where your LMS supports it. Packaged, uploaded, and tested before delivery, so it tracks completion and scores on day one.
Rebuilt Instructional Design
Not your VILT deck with a Next button. Objectives defined first, content sequenced for self-paced learning, and everything the facilitator carried verbally written into the course itself.
Interactions and Scenarios
Click-to-reveal, drag-and-drop, and scored quizzes at Rapid. Branching scenarios with real consequences at Professional. Adaptive branching and software simulations at Enterprise.
Custom, On-Brand Visuals
Designed to your style guide. We do not recycle stock slides out of the classroom deck and call it a rebuild.
Voiceover in Your Choice of Voice
AI narration in 35+ languages included, or human voiceover talent on any tier.
Knowledge Checks Mapped to Objectives
Every assessment traces back to something a learner must be able to do. Wrong answers explain why, so the quiz teaches instead of only scoring.
WCAG 2.1 AA Accessibility
Captions, transcripts, keyboard navigation, colour contrast, and screen-reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver. A conformance summary is available for procurement.
Editable Source Files
The Rise 360 link and every Storyline .story file. A policy change means an edit - not a rebuild, and not a call to us.
Two Review Checkpoints
You shape the course as it comes together, not once at the end when changes are expensive to make.
VILT Conversion Projects We Build
Not every VILT programme converts the same way. These are the four conversion routes we build most often for L&D teams.
Full Session to Self-Paced Course
A complete live session rebuilt as a standalone eLearning course. Best for knowledge-heavy programmes - compliance, policy, systems, and product training - where the facilitator was mostly transferring information. See ILT to eLearning conversion.
Session Recording to Interactive Course
Hours of recorded VILT turned into a structured, interactive course. We curate what is worth keeping, cut the dead air, and rebuild the rest as active learning rather than a video nobody rewatches.
Blended Programme Design
Knowledge moves into self-paced modules, practice stays live. Your facilitators arrive to a cohort that already has the foundations, so live time goes to application. See blended learning solutions.
Reinforcement and Microlearning
Short modules that extend a live programme past the session - spaced retrieval, refreshers, and job aids that stop the content being forgotten by the following week. See microlearning.
Our Proven Process: The 4Ds
Every project follows the same four stages, so nothing is left to guesswork and nothing enters production before you have approved it.
Discovery
Before we build, we listen. We run a needs analysis on your existing VILT programme - the performance gap it closes, who attends, and which parts genuinely need a facilitator. We work with your SMEs to fill information gaps. Output: a signed-off learning needs summary with objectives, success measures, and a recommended live versus self-paced split.
Design
We write measurable learning objectives, restructure the session content for self-paced delivery, and produce a detailed storyboard for your review - so you can audit flow, tone, and interactions. Production does not begin until you sign it off.
Development
Once the storyboard is approved we move into rapid production, building in Articulate Storyline 360 or Rise 360 and using GenAI production tools for high-volume media. Agile methods keep the build inside the 5 to 7 week window.
Delivery and Support
We run rigorous QA on your own platform to confirm tracking, scoring, and playback all behave. We deliver in SCORM, xAPI, cmi5, or AICC - with editable source files handed over to you.

How We Measure Whether the Training Worked
Attendance only tells you the session was joined. We design measurement in from the storyboard stage so you can answer the question your leadership actually asks: did anything change?
Reaction
Kirkpatrick Level 1. Built into every course as standard - end-of-module reaction surveys and confidence ratings that tell you whether learners found the training relevant.
Learning
Kirkpatrick Level 2. Built into every course as standard - scored assessments written against your learning objectives, with distractors based on real misconceptions rather than filler options.
Behaviour
Kirkpatrick Level 3. Designed on request - xAPI and cmi5 statements capture what learners do inside scenarios and simulations, giving you behavioural data a live attendance sheet never could.
Business Results
Kirkpatrick Level 4. Designed on request - we agree the business metric during discovery (error rates, time-to-competency, adoption, safety incidents) so results can be tracked against it after rollout.
What You Get in Writing
Most eLearning vendors ask you to take the quality on trust. These are the commitments we put in writing on every project.
Fixed Price, Fixed Timeline
You see the price before you commit. No hourly billing, and no scope-change invoices for work inside the agreed storyboard.
You Own the Source Files
Editable Storyline or Rise source files are handed over on completion. You are never locked into us for future updates.
10% Free Updates for 3 Months
Minor updates requested within three months of rollout - up to 10% of the course - are completed at no charge. Ongoing maintenance runs $500 to $1,000.
Storyboard Sign-Off Before Build
Nothing enters production until you approve the storyboard. You audit flow, tone, and interactions while changes are still cheap to make.
Tested on Your LMS
We QA every interaction, score, and tracking call on your own platform across browsers and devices - not just ours - before release.
WCAG 2.1 AA From Day One
Accessibility is designed in, not retrofitted - keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, colour contrast, and captions on all media.
See the Quality First - Request a Sample Module
Send us one session recording or the deck behind it. We will build a short sample module from your own content so you can judge the quality before you commit to a full project.
Why L&D Teams Choose eLearning Solutions Lab
We work as a seamless extension of your L&D department - designed to reduce your internal workload while maintaining elite quality.
11+ Years of Enterprise Experience
We bring 11+ years of experience in enterprise training transformation to every project. That longevity means we have navigated the full range of conversion challenges, so your project is backed by more than a decade of accumulated best practice.
SME-Friendly Content Curation
You do not have to provide polished scripts. We work from your raw session recordings, classroom materials, and manuals, curate the content against your objectives, and go directly to your SMEs for the gaps - so you do not have to.
Rapid 5 to 7 Week Turnaround
Timing matters in a fast-moving corporate environment. We deliver inside a 5 to 7 week window, so a programme that currently depends on trainer availability can be live in your LMS before the next quarter of sessions is even scheduled.

Whether you are converting one session or a full curriculum for 10,000+ global employees, we have the infrastructure to scale - across multiple regions, formats, and 35+ languages.
Ready to stop redelivering the same session?
Tell us which session you want converted and we will come back within 3 business hours - no obligation, just a focused conversation.
VILT Solutions FAQs
The questions L&D teams ask us most often about VILT solutions and converting live sessions into eLearning.
VILT Basics
VILT stands for virtual instructor-led training – live training delivered by a facilitator to remote learners in real time, usually over Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or Adobe Connect. It differs from self-paced eLearning because a human is present and the session happens at a fixed time.
ILT (instructor-led training) happens in a physical classroom. VILT is the same live, facilitator-led format delivered through a virtual classroom instead. The instructional challenge is different: a room supports discussion and side conversation naturally, whereas a virtual session has to design those moments deliberately or it becomes a broadcast.
No. A webinar is largely one-way presentation to a large audience, usually with no assessment and no obligation to demonstrate learning. VILT is training – smaller cohorts, defined learning objectives, structured activity, and some measurement of whether learners can now do something they could not before.
Keep it live when the value comes from a human reacting to the learner in the moment – coaching, negotiation practice, difficult conversations, live skills assessment. Convert to self-paced when the session is primarily knowledge transfer: policy, compliance, product, systems, onboarding, and process training. Many programmes are best split, with knowledge delivered digitally and practice kept live.
No. We are an eLearning production partner, not a facilitation bench. We build the self-paced digital courses – instructional design, development, media, assessment, and LMS packaging. Your own trainers and SMEs deliver whatever stays live.
No. You keep the virtual classroom and LMS you already use. We build content that works with them. A more capable platform does not fix weak content, which is the problem most teams are actually trying to solve when they start looking at VILT solutions.
Conversion, Timelines, and Costs
Most courses launch in 5 to 7 weeks. Depending on tier, interactivity, and how quickly content and approvals come back from your side, timelines run 5 to 10 weeks. Phases overlap by design – storyboarding starts while content review wraps, and QA overlaps development – so nothing sits in a queue.
We publish fixed pricing per course covering 30 to 60 minutes of seat time: Rapid Build $2,999, Professional Build $4,500, and Enterprise Build $7,500. Cost is driven by level of interactivity, multimedia requirements, and whether simulation is involved – not by hourly billing. A full-day live programme is normally split into two or three modules.
Whatever you already have – session recordings, the classroom or VILT deck, facilitator notes, PDFs, SOPs, manuals, or just a topic. We handle the instructional design, development, and QA from there, with two review checkpoints so you stay in control.
It should not. Live sessions carry a lot of repetition, housekeeping, and discussion that does not survive conversion. We curate against your learning objectives and normally rebuild a full-day programme as a series of 30 to 60 minute modules, which also makes future updates far cheaper than editing one long build.
That is normal, and we will tell you which parts during discovery. In a blended design the knowledge component moves into self-paced modules learners complete first, and live time is reserved for practice, coaching, and application. See our blended learning solutions.
Yes. We regularly build from webinar and session recordings, transcribing and curating the content against your objectives, then filling gaps with your SMEs. See legacy content conversion for older material that needs rebuilding entirely.
Technology, Delivery, and Ownership
Yes. We deliver SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI, cmi5, and AICC, which covers effectively all commercial and open-source platforms. We test every course on your specific LMS before handover to confirm tracking, scoring, and playback behave correctly.
Yes – WCAG 2.1 AA on every course, at every tier, never an add-on. That means captions and transcripts, full keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast, and screen-reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver. A conformance summary is available on request for compliance-sensitive programmes.
Yes. We hand over all final assets including editable source files – the Rise 360 link and every Storyline .story file – on completion. You are never locked into us for future updates.
Kirkpatrick Levels 1 and 2 – reaction and learning – are built into every course through end-of-module surveys and scored assessments aligned to your objectives. Levels 3 and 4, behaviour and business results, are designed on request using xAPI or cmi5 tracking and a business metric agreed during discovery.
Yes. Send us one session recording, deck, or policy document and we will build a short sample module from your own content so you can judge the quality before committing to a full project.
