What We Translate and Localize

A complete eLearning course is far more than its on-screen words, and a partial translation is what leaves any learner confused or disengaged. We localize every asset in your course so the entire learning experience feels native in each language, not patched together from the parts that were easy to convert.

On-screen text and course content

We translate all visible texts from slides, menus, buttons, instructions, and embedded labels - and re-layout them to fit the new language without breaking your design. As languages in German or Finnish expand, while others contract, we adjust spacing and on-screen elements so nothing will overflow or get clipped. So the result here reads as if the eLearning course was authored in that language from the start.

Audio or voiceover (and synthetic vs. professional voice options)

We produce localized voiceover to match your source narration, syncing timing to on-screen events and animations. Then, you choose the right approach for each eLearning project: professional human voice talent for customer-facing or brand-critical content, or high-quality synthetic voice when speed and budget matter more than ever. We'll also recommend the mix that will fit your audience and turnaround.

Subtitles and Captions

We produce localized voiceover to match your source narration, syncing timing to on-screen events and animations. Then, you choose the right approach for each eLearning project: professional human voice talent for customer-facing or brand-critical content, or high-quality synthetic voice when speed and budget matter more than ever. We'll also recommend the mix that will fit your audience and turnaround.

Video and multimedia

We localize video content - including on-screen graphics, callouts, animations, and any embedded text - not just any spoken track. Where any motion graphics or screen recording contain language, we rebuild those elements so that the visuals will match the localized narration. Your multimedia will stay polished and consistent across every version.

Quizzes, assessments, and interactions

We translate and culturally adapt quizzes, scenarios, drag-and-drop activities, and branching interactions so they can test knowledge fairly in every language. Question wording, distractors, and feedback are all reviewed so that the meaning and difficulty stay equivalent to the source itself - a literal translation, for instance, can accidentally make an item easier, harder, or ambiguous. And so, interactive elements are functionally tested after localization to confirm they still work as intended.

Job aids, PDFs, and supporting docs

We localize the materials that surround your eLearning courses, such as downloadable job aids, reference PDFs, transcripts, and handouts, so that the learners will get a consistent experience beyond the screen. Formatting, layout, and branding are all preserved so that supporting documents look professional in every language. That's nothing in the learner's toolkit that is left in the source language.

AI vs. Human Translation - How We Decide

Not every course needs the same translation approach, and so paying for premium human translation on low-stakes internal content assets will just waste budget, while cutting corners on a side for compliance material will create real risk. Here's our honest framework we use to recommend the right method for each eLearning project, so you're never overpaying or under-protected.

When machine/AI translation is appropriate

For high-volume, fast-moving, or internal-only content, any modern AI translation delivers strong results at a fraction of the cost and timeline. And so think internal process updates, knowledge-base articles, or large libraries where actual speed and coverage matter more than any polished nuance. We still review the output, obviously, rather than shipping it raw, but the AI does the heavy lifting where it makes sense.

When a human or hybrid (MTPE) is required

Compliance training, customer-facing courses, brand-critical messaging, and anything with legal or safety weight call for human translators or a hybrid machine-translation plus post-editing workflow. These human linguists can catch tone, cultural nuance, and the kind of subtle misreadings that can actually create liability or erode trust. So MTPE can give you a middle patch - AI can speed with human judgment layered on top - and when you need both quality and efficiency.

Your QA and linguist review layer either way

Regardless of any method, every eLearning project passes through a native-linguist quality review before it can reach your learners. We check for accuracy, terminology accuracy, and cultural fit - so then functionally test the localized courses to confirm nothing broke in the process. AI or human, the work that will leave us has had a qualified person (QA) and a localization expert to sign off on it.

Quick answers to the questions L&D teams ask us most before starting any translation project.

Project Timelines and Costs

A single-language text localization typically takes two to three weeks to finish, while courses with voiceover or video localization can run longer, given that audio production and testing are involved. Timelines may also stretch as you add languages, though we localize them in parallel rather than just one after another. So if you have a fixed launch date, you can ask about our rush and just-in-time options.

We support 75+ languages and can roll a single course out across many of them at once without a drop in quality. Each language is handled by native linguists and reviewed for cultural fit – not just any literal accuracy. So if you need a language that isn’t on our standard list, you can just ask – our network reaches well beyond the most common requests.

We localize eLearning courses built in Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, and iSpring, and we work inside the exact source file wherever possible, rather than rebuilding from scratch. So this keeps your interactions, animations, and tracking intact across every language version. So if you’re unsure whether your tool is supported, you can send us a sample, and we’ll confirm before any kind of quoting.

Yes. We repackage every localized course so that it will import back into your LMS with scoring, tracking, and interactions fully functional, and we test all these published versions before any delivery. You won’t be left debugging a course that won’t launch or report completions correctly.

When your source course changes, we re-localize only the new or edited content rather than just charging you for the whole course again. Essentially, translation memory stores everything we’ve already localized, so repeated and unchanged text is reused automatically – which will keep update costs low and turnaround fast. So this is one reason ongoing localization can get cheaper over time.

Yes. We build a solid terminology glossary and style guide for your brand – so all key terms, product names, and tone stay consistent across every course and language. This would also matter most for organizations localizing a full catalog, where every inconsistent wording may confuse learners and weaken your brand.
